Ben Boulden is a Fort Smith native. Except for much of the 1980s, he has lived in the city his entire life. In 1986, he earned a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Missouri, studied abroad for one year and earned his master's degree in history

The annual meeting of the Fort Smith Museum of History is held on the fourth Thursday of June unless rescheduled by the Executive Committee with at least a 20-day notice to the Association. Attendance is open to Association members in good standing. Any member wishing to add a topic to the Annual Meeting agenda shall notify the President ten (10) days prior to the annual meeting by email. The topic will be ten (10) minutes or less.
