Fort Smith Museum of History Supports Jeff Struecker’s 45-Mile Run and With Love, Billy Documentary

Summary:

On October 30, 2026, former U.S. Army Ranger Jeff Struecker will run 45 miles through Fort Smith to help raise the $65,000 needed to complete With Love, Billy. Association Benàch in Nago-Torbole, Italy, is leading the documentary project and bringing General William O. Darby’s story to the screen. The film will explore the life, military service, and legacy of Fort Smith native Brigadier General William O. Darby, founder of the WWII “Darby’s Rangers,” through archival footage, photographs, documents, and firsthand accounts. Struecker’s role is to help raise funding for the production, with funds raised through Jeff Struecker Ministries going directly toward completion of the film and donors recognized in the film credits. The annual meeting of the Fort Smith Museum of History is held on the fourth Thursday of June unless rescheduled by the Executive Committee with at least a 20-day notice to the Association. Attendance is open to Association members in good standing. Any member wishing to add a topic to the Annual Meeting agenda shall notify the President ten (10) days prior to the annual meeting by email. The topic will be ten (10) minutes or less.
