Dedicated to the amazing sometimes unbelievable story of one of the best know outlaws the “Bandit Queen” Belle Star. An expert rider who could handle a gun, and who was associated with famous outlaws such as Frank and Jesse James,

The Fort Smith Museum of History is located in the old downtown of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Being the oldest functioning museum in the state, we present a fascinating reflection of the people and culture that built the city and surrounding region.

The annual meeting of the Fort Smith Museum of History is held on the fourth Thursday of June unless rescheduled by the Executive Committee with at least a 20-day notice to the Association. Attendance is open to Association members in good standing. Any member wishing to add a topic to the Annual Meeting agenda shall notify the President ten (10) days prior to the annual meeting by email. The topic will be ten (10) minutes or less.
