Mr. Girard, a recent retiree of First National Bank of Fort Smith, is a life-long Fort Smith resident and supporter of various civic and non-profit organizations in the area. He has served on many boards, including the Bonneville House Association, Chaffee Crossing Historic District, Fort Smith Historical Society, Fort Smith Trolley Museum, and the Oak Cemetery Association. He is also a member of the Fort Smith Mustang Club, much to the chagrin of his lovely wife, Elaine.
Mr. Evans assists with greeting visitors, answering the telephone and special events. A life long resident of Fort Smith, he is very knowledgable of the area's history.
Ms. Kirby assists with greeting visitors, answering the telephone and special events. She also keeps up with museum memberships.
Ms. Speir began work at the museum in 2008, upon completion of the Historical Interpretation program at the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith. A native of Roland, Oklahoma, she has a Fort Smith family history and vast knowledge of the area. Ms. Speir provides educational programs for students and tour groups, as well as using her knowledge of public history to create rotating exhibitions utilizing the museum's artifact collection.
Ms. Hamilton joined the museum staff in 2014 and performs all financial duties. A Fort Smith native, she learned to operate her family's business at a young age.
Ms. Devero assists with greeting visitors to the museum and soda fountain. She also assists with curatorial duties. A graduate of the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith, Ms. Devero holds a B. A. in History.
