Volunteer
The Fort Smith Museum of History offers many opportunities for personal development and satisfaction in the volunteer corps. Archives, collections care, tour leadership, soda fountain sales, gift shop sales and greeting visitors all require the services of dedicated people. We encourage each volunteer to give us two to four hours a week to keep their skills polished and to allow us to plan ahead, but training and work schedules are flexible. We are especially interested in the services of younger volunteers (ages 16 and up) who can help other children with learning activities in the museum. Older youth can also be trained in more advanced areas.
