About the event
The Fort Smith Museum of History is proud to present, “A Place for All People" a traveling poster exhibition from the National Museum of African American History and Culture. The commemorative poster exhibition celebrates the 2016 opening of the Smithsonian’s newest museum. Based on the inaugural exhibitions of the museum, the poster images highlight the key artifacts used in 2016 to tell the rich and diverse story of the African American experience. Complimenting the poster exhibition will be highlights of local Black History, which include artifacts and images that tell the stories of the local Black Community in Fort Smith. The exhibition opens on Thursday, February 1 @ 5:30 with a short program and words from AR State Representative, Jay Richardson.
The exhibition runs February 1-February 29.
