Red Engine Press author, Jim Enderle, will present a program, and discuss and sign copies of his book, “Fight, Flight or Freeze,” at the Fort Smith Museum of History on March 13, 2022 at 1:00 pm. This event is free and open to the public. Mr. Enderle will share his personal, moving experiences during the Gulf War and how the aftermath impacted him and his family. He will also discuss the core issues of the book-- when you bring trauma home with you--as well as the experiences he and his fellow veterans faced during their wars—and afterwards. If you are a veteran or someone dear to you is, this event is dedicated to you.

Jim Enderle is a native Chicagoan, retired Navy Chief Hospital Corpsman, and Iraq combat veteran. After his 2007 Iraq deployment, he finished his military career as the Chief of Submarine Base New London’s (CT) Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)/Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) outpatient clinic. He considers that time the most rewarding of his career.

Jim has a Masters Degree in the Education of Exceptional Students and is a regularly scheduled speaker on veterans’ suicide and transition conversations. Me. Enderle has presented two TED Talks of lessons learned through stories told in the book. He hopes to apply for others.

A long-time DJ at Connecticut College’s WCNI radio station, he uses his Saturday night slot for interviews on mental health issues between free-format music. Jim is in the process of launching a YouTube channel, The World Needs More Middle Children. Jim lives with his wife, Cindy, of 30 years in Quaker Hill, Connecticut. They have two sons, Alfonso and Lorenzo.

The program and book signing by Mr. Enderle at the Fort Smith Museum of History is a 3-part book-tour stop in Fort Smith between March 10 and March 13. The audio book of Fight, Flight or Freeze has recently been recorded at SŌL Studios in Fort Smith with local actor, musician, and director, Brandon Bolin performing the manuscript.
