About the Event

In years past, the Fort Smith Museum of History has had the honor of participating in the Veterans Day Parade at Fort Chaffee. The parade is back after a cancellation in 2020 due to COVID precautions and we are excited to to participate again on November 13, 2021. Over the years, we have asked local veterans to ride along on our float, pictured above, as a way to honor our many military heroes. We have been fortunate that so many have responded and look forward to another year of engagement in the meaningful works marking this important day. If you are a veteran, or know a veteran you think would like to ride on the Fort Smith Museum of History's Veterans Day float, we would like to invite you, and/or them, to join the Fort Smith Museum of History for this important and fun event. Please RSVP by calling 479-783-7841, emailing or reach out to Caroline Speir, FSMH Executive Director at Joining us that day will be Mayor McGill, himself a veteran of the Vietnam War.
